If you pay attention to the Change Management community, you’ve likely heard about the CCMP certification. The CCMP™ is a globally recognized credential established by ACMP® for professionals to demonstrate their commitment to leading the way change works.
What’s the process?
At first, becoming certified may seem daunting, but we’re here to help dispel any confusion around the CCMP certification and help you succeed! We’ve outlined the four-step certification process below.- Determine Eligibility: In order to complete the CCMP certification, you must have Education, Experience and Training. We’ve listed the requirements below:
- Education and Experience: A 4-year degree (or international equivalent) and 4200 hours (3 years) of change management experience, OR Secondary education (high school or international equivalent) and 7000 hours (5 years) of change management experience.
- Training: Completion of 21 hours of instructor-led change management training in a program aligned with The Standard for Change Management© in the past 7 years.
Please Note: Experience hours do not require you to be the change leader on a project. Any change experience can qualify you for hours. However, these hours are subject to audit. - Application Process: The online application includes entry of your education, experience, and training. You will be asked to correctly answer 3 out of 5 essay questions (maximum of 500 words each) demonstrating your change management experience.
